Caravan Holidays in
Southwest England

Caravan holidays in southwest England can be a delight. There is so much to see. Whether you choose to tour with your house on your back or to have a static caravan and explore the area around. It is not difficult to find a beautiful spot, the difficulty will be in choosing which one!

First of all wander through the pages of this site for some wonderful ideas in Devon - Dorset - Hampshire - Isle of Wight - Somerset and spacious Wiltshire. Which ever county you choose there is so much to see – Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Areas of Scientific Interest, National Trust, and English Heritage properties. The World Heritage Site of the Jurassic Coast can be acessed in many places.

Why not pack the bikes.  Park the car and the van on a site. There are so many Cycling Trails that traverse the region through some spectacular country. It does not matter if you are an expert cyclist or not there are trails to suit all fitness levels. Also check out Sustrans for some more ideas. They are after all the pioneering organisation behind those safe cycleways.

Sustrans has an app for mobile phones. Not only good for cycling, walking too. Contains over 25,000 miles of routes of which over 13,000 are National Cycle Network and over 12,000 are regional and local routes. Best addition to holidays and short breaks there could be!!

Another idea would be to pack the hiking boots. Explore the intriguing footpaths that criss cross Wessex. One can see so much walking – admire the scenery, watch and listen to the birds, bask in the sunshine, enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. Try the South West Coast Path, well in bits, it is the longest footpath in Britain. The scenery is just stunning. Wander through Ruby country in Devon, or the Test Way in Hampshire. The Isle of Wight has so many delightful footpaths. There are just too many footpaths to mention them all in all the counties.

A caravan holiday is not an expensive idea – one can find a park in rural countryside or on the coast. There is always one close to where you would love to be. Find one perhaps just to relax – let the world go away.

The kids love a caravan holiday - they love the freedom of it.

Why not take a caravan to an event - sorts out the accommodation problem!!

If a lively holiday is what you want – why not try the many caravan resorts around. Sometimes one does not need to leave the site to have a fabulous holiday! Check out those in the right hand column of this page. They are good and in just the right places. Make sure it is right for you, what suits one does not suit another.

Have your home with you and -

Enjoy Your Caravan Holidays in Southwest England!
